Users can also define Safe Zones for specific places like home or school, receiving alerts when a connected member enters or leaves these predefined areas.

Connecting and Managing Members

The app facilitates connections through a Code Association feature, where a unique invitation code is used to link members. This process requires mutual consent from all parties involved, ensuring that location sharing is voluntary. Users maintain Privacy Control within the app, allowing them to manage their connections and instantly Unbind any member to cease sharing their location data at any time.

Location Tracking and Alerts

Once connected, the app provides a Location Map where users can view the current position of associated members. A core capability is the Safe Zones feature, which allows users to set up virtual boundaries around significant locations. For instance, a parent can designate Home or School as safe zones and receive automatic alerts when their child enters or leaves these areas. In emergency situations, users can trigger an SOS Alert from within the app, which instantly sends an alert containing their current location to all connected members.

Reviewing Location History

For reviewing past movements, GPS Location : Live Tracker includes a History feature. This allows users to review previous routes and locations of connected members. The history can be filtered by time, providing a record of where a member has been over a specified period.

Permissions and Practical Considerations

To function correctly, GPS Location : Live Tracker requires specific permissions. It needs Location access to display positions on the map and enable Safe Zone alerts. Background Location is also necessary for Safe Zone alerts and SOS functions to operate even when the app is not actively in use. A Persistent Notification appears in the status bar when location sharing is active, keeping the user informed that their location is being shared. The app is not a secret tracking tool; user consent is paramount, and location data is encrypted, with no user data sold to third parties. The accuracy of location alerts is dependent on the device’s GPS hardware and the stability of the network connection. Users are responsible for using the app in compliance with local laws and ensuring they have the legal right to connect with other members.
